Beginning in 2020, a deep pandemic depression sent Moss spiraling inward for months. Isolated in her bedroom almost completely shut-off from the world, she accidentally unearthed a medicinal muse: writing solo songs on guitar for the first time. Channeling an inner Crescent City chanteuse, Anna’s newfound brand of stripped-down-soul is a sultry gumbo steeped in Southern R&B, Americana, and Crescent City porch jazz; gritty hymns of humanity, abolition, compassion and forgiveness busked to fruition in the historic French Quarter streets. Her debut solo LP Anna Moss: Amnesty is due in March 2024 on Empire Records.
